Where and when is API + AI Summit?
API + AI Summit will take place Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, 2026, at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

What is the Code of Conduct?
Kong Events, including API + AI Summit by Kong, local Meetups, and any other public event organized by Kong, are community-focused events with the goal of providing a collaborative environment for solution architects, users, developers, and other community members to learn not only how to be successful when leveraging Kong, but also in becoming Kong experts.
The Kong Events Team is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter, and other online media. API + AI Summit by Kong participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event at the discretion of the event organizers.
Event staff will be available and monitoring communication channels throughout the conference. We value your attendance. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please email summit@konghq.com.

Is there a hotel block for attendees?
Yes. A limited number of rooms will be available at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown for conference attendees.

Is the venue accessible?
Yes. The InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is fully ADA accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact the event team so we can ensure the best possible experience.

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Yes. We will provide options for common dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-sensitive meals.

What airports are closest to the venue?
The closest major airport is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), **a**pproximately 30 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, depending on traffic.
Do you provide visa invitation letters?
Yes. If you require a visa invitation letter to attend the event, please contact the event team after registering.
You may be asked to provide the following information:

## Registration
What does the Full Experience pass include?
The full experience pass provides full access to the on-site conference experience in Los Angeles on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, 2026, including:
- - All keynote sessions
- - Breakout sessions and panels
- - Hands-on workshops
- - Networking events and receptions
- - Sponsor showcase access
- - Meals and refreshments during the conference
- - Virtual access and on-demand recordings after the event
What does the Full Experience + Certification Training pass include?
The Full Experience + Certification Training pass provides full access to the onsite conference experience plus, an additional day of deeper learning in Los Angeles, including:
- - Extra day of certification training on Sept. 29
- - All keynote sessions
- - Breakout sessions and panels
- - Hands-on workshops
- - Networking events and receptions
- - Sponsor showcase access
- - Meals and refreshments during the conference
- - Virtual access and on-demand recordings after the event
What does the virtual pass include?
Virtual registration launches in July.
Virtual attendees receive access to:
- - Select keynotes livestreams
- - Limited on-demand sessions after the event
- - Sponsor resources
- - Chat with attendees and sponsors
Virtual passes **do not include breakout sessions, guest speaker keynotes, workshops, or in-person networking experiences.**
Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
Registrations are **not permitted to be transferred**.
API + AI Summit is a curated, high-impact event designed for a specific audience of builders, architects, and leaders. To maintain the quality of the experience and ensure the right mix of attendees, registrations are non-transferable.
In **exceptional circumstances**, transfer requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approval is not guaranteed.

What is the cancellation policy?
Plans change. We get it.
If you can't attend, here's how cancellations work:
- - **On or before July 1, 2026** - Full refund (100%)
- - **July 2 – Aug. 15, 2026** - 50% refund
- - **After Aug. 15, 2026** - No refunds
All cancellation requests must be submitted by **Aug. 15, 2026**.
**Additional Notes**
- - Refunds are processed to the original payment method
- - Transfer requests (if granted under exceptional circumstances) are not permitted after Aug. 15, 2026
- - If the event is canceled by us, you will receive a full refund
Can I upgrade from my Virtual pass?
Yes. Virtual attendees may upgrade to a Full Experience or Full Experience + Certification Training if capacity is still available. You will be required to pay the difference in ticket price at the time of the request. **Virtual registration opens in July.**

Can I downgrade my pass to a Virtual pass?
Downgrades are **not supported**.
If your plans change and you’re unable to attend in person, you may cancel your registration in accordance with the cancellation policy and re-register for a virtual pass. Please note, cancellations must be received by **August 15, 2026. Virtual registration opens in July.**
This approach allows us to maintain a high-quality, curated in-person experience while ensuring fairness across all attendees.
