I’m excited to share that Kong has expanded its headquarters in San Francisco! The new office at 44 Montgomery Street will provide Bay Area Kongers with a collaborative spot to meet with customers, coordinate with partners, brainstorm with colleagues, and recruit top talent. 

Kong HQ was previously at 77 Geary Street in San Francisco. The new space allows for double the number of Kongers who can take advantage of the downtown office space. Employees will also enjoy new amenities like a 24-hour gym, yoga classes, and an outdoor area designed for social connection and team events.

### The evolution of remote work

Kongers have the flexibility of choosing the work environment that works for them, whether that be a remote or hybrid approach. But, we understand there is tremendous value in in-person connections — especially for client engagement, team building, and cross-functional collaboration. In fact, [one study shows](https://www.enterpriseappstoday.com/stats/workplace-collaboration-statistics.html)one study shows that workplace collaboration and teamwork initiatives boost business sales by 27%. This move helps our mission of cultivating the best possible work experience for our employees. 

In addition to expanding our headquarters, we have partnered with Gable, a flexible workspace and management platform, to provide all employees with on-demand access to a wide range of global coworking and event spaces.

### Kong’s continued growth

Kong has been an integral part of the San Francisco tech scene since its inception in 2017. Today, Kong has more than 700 employees in more than 25 locations worldwide. 

This new office location is just the next milestone in a strategic investment in company growth. It comes on the heels of a record year as we recently raised $175 million in [Series E funding](https://konghq.com/blog/news/kongs-series-e-funding)Series E funding in 2024, bringing our valuation to $2 billion.
