Hybrid API management in GCC 2.0

Digital transformation in the public sector is driven by APIs. Modern agencies leverage APIs to securely connect legacy systems, unlock siloed data, and transition from monolithic architectures to modular, scalable services. This approach accelerates innovation and enhances digital service delivery.

In this Hands-On Workshop, we will demonstrate how AWS and Kong enable Singapore's public sector to adopt a hybrid API management model within GCC 2.0. Through Konnect, we will explore how organisations can implement federated API management, ensuring security, automation, and performance at scale across cloud and on-premise environments.

Join us to learn how Kong Konnect can drive modernisation efforts while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency in a GCC environment.

Learning objectives

  1. Get an architectural overview of the Kong Konnect platform.
  2. Set up Konnect runtime on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
  3. Learn what are services, routes and plugin.
  4. Deploy a sample microservice and access the application using the defined route.
  5. Use the platform to address the following use cases: Authentication and Authorization | Rate limiting |
  6. Learn how to do observability
