Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS), otherwise referred to as the Nigeria Central Switch (NCS) was incorporated in 1993 and is owned by all licensed banks in Nigeria including the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
With an ever-increasing demand for digital payments from existing and new entrants in the Nigerian payments space, NIBSS recently embarked on a transformative journey to become a world-class shared utility for the Nigerian payments industry. At the heart of this is to create a modern API platform that standardizes all NIBSS APIs, scales efficiently and creates a world-class developer experience.
