Securing APIs with OpenID Connect

Kong supports many authentication frameworks and standards to properly govern and secure APIs. One of the more popular approaches is to use OpenID Connect/OAuth 2.0 since they provide multiple ways to secure services for different scenarios, including User to Service and Service to Service scenarios.

In this session, we cover how Kong supports the OpenID Connect standard to provide robust access control capabilities to APIs. We will be demonstrating working with a 3rd party Identity Provider (IDP).
