Kong Insomnia 10.2 Adds New Built-In Conflict Resolution in Git Sync
Kong Insomnia 10.2 is now generally available with some exciting new features and improvements! As usual, we strongly recommend upgrading to this latest version and to always use the most recent release of Insomnia.
Built-in conflict resolution in Git Sync
Insomnia natively supports 100% local storage, Cloud Sync, and Git Sync. With Git Sync, you can configure a Git repository to become the storage backend for your collections and design specs. Today, we're excited to announce the availability of built-in conflict resolution when you're pulling or pushing changes that are incompatible with the latest known version of the resource.
You can now resolve Git conflicts directly within Insomnia.
You'll now be able to choose either your or their change whenever there's a Git conflict. This will remove further friction when collaborating together on API collections, API design documents, API tests, and more.
A new table view for environments
In addition to the Insomnia JSON view, we're now also introducing a new table view for creating environment variables. This will simplify how new users can manage environments for their collections. See it in action below.
With the new environment variable GUI, creating new envs is as easy as possible.
You can still switch between the new table view and the previous JSON view using a toggle, giving existing users the option to use the same view they've been using since the early days of Insomnia.
Introducing Teams RBAC and SCIM
Last but not least, we're introducing two new enterprise capabilities to Insomnia for managing users at scale across large organizations: the ability to organize users in Teams for more scalable RBAC settings and the ability to automatically associate a user to an Insomnia team using SCIM and a third-party identity provider powered by OIDC (OpenID Connect) or SAML.
