I’m an API Hacker: Here’s How I Hack Everything from the Military to AI — Hackers love APIs. Why? Because they're really vulnerable. In this session, Katie Paxton-Fear, API Security Researcher at Traceable AI, pulls back the curtain on how the silly mistakes that people make and the little things developers forget are often all it takes for hackers to gain a foothold. You'll learn about four of the "best" bug bounty finds, how they were discovered, and how anyone can find them.
APIOps Evolved: Robust API Delivery with Kong — Rick Spurgeon, a developer advocate at Kong, will demonstrate automated API delivery, or APIOps, with Kong tools and solutions. Focusing on federated API management in a microservices environment, learn how you can empower application developer teams while maintaining centralized governance.

Along with API Summit, we've announced the 4th annual API Summit Hackathon. This year’s Hackathon will focus on API innovation emphasizing the use of AI.
Participants can enter solo or assemble a team of up to five. Submissions for the Hackathon will be accepted from September 1–11. The top two submissions will win a $1,000 gift card, and the top three runner-ups will receive a $500 gift card. Winners will be announced at API Summit 2024 on September 12, 2024.
