In 2018, Kong was first positioned onto the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Full Lifecycle API Management Market as a Visionary. This in itself was a very impressive feat given that Kong was started as an open source project just three years before that. I believe Kong's progress on the Magic Quadrant in this short span of time speaks to how we have aligned Kong's solutions to our customers' most challenging problems. This year, I'm proud to share that Kong has been named a Leader in the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Full Lifecycle API Management! What I'm even more proud of is that Kong has also been recognized as having the furthest completeness of vision of all the vendors evaluated in the Magic Quadrant. Making such large strides in our ability to execute while simultaneously expanding our completeness of vision is a humbling acknowledgement of the amount of work put in by the entire Kong organization.

I have never seen a jump so huge - and over such a short period of time - during my entire tech career. I believe Kong was named a Leader in the Magic Quadrant because of our capabilities in market understanding, product fit and operations. Today, we have more than 200 million downloads of our open source Kong Gateway and more than 250 enterprise customers using Kong Enterprise, including GE, GlaxoSmithKline, Verifone, NASDAQ, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Rite Aid and Samsung. We're helping technology teams across the globe and across all industries reliably and securely connect all their APIs and microservices natively across and within clouds, Kubernetes, data centers and more.

I believe this recognition is a true reflection of Kong's capabilities across the board - building, managing, marketing and selling. Our upcoming Kong Summit, taking place October 7-9, is another good way to learn more about Kong and what we have planned for the coming year. Now digital, Kong Summit 2020 will bring together Kong's open source user community, customers, partners and industry thought leaders to explore cloud adoption, the connectivity challenges that come with moving to the cloud and the modernization strategies needed to solve this important connectivity equation. You can check out the speaker line-up and register for the free event at https://konghq.com/kong-summit/.
