Build, run, discover, and govern your APIs as part of an automated pipeline

Insomnia isn't just a powerful API client — it's a part of the larger Kong Konnect platform for managing the overall lifecycle of your APIs: build, run, discover, and govern.

During this event, we’ll utilize a design first approach to building a REST API. We’ll leverage Kong Insomnia to design and test this API and then use Kong Konnect to secure and expose this API for consumption. Finally, we’ll follow APIops best practices and implement end-to-end automation over the entire API lifecycle.

Join this workshop to learn how to:

  • Build a REST API with a design first approach
  • Validate API specifications and automate collection testing using the inso CLI as part of your CI/CD pipelines
  • Leverage decK to enforce best practices and policies across your APIs
  • Build guardrails that ensure only compliant APIs move forward in your SDLC

In preparation for the workshop, please make sure you have the following ready:

  • Text editor/IDE (e.g. VSCode)
  • Javascript runtime (e.g. node.js)
  • git CLI tool
  • Inso CLI tool
  • decK CLI tool
  • Insomnia account -Konnect account
