# AWS Immersion Day London: Kong AI Gateway - From Prototype to Production

Digital transformation is built on APIs. Modern organisations use APIs to modernise access to legacy systems, liberate siloed data, and break down monolithic applications into smaller, easier-to-manage components to rapidly increase their pace of innovation and deliver new digital experiences. In this hands-on workshop, we will demonstrate the ways Konnect AI Gateway can help you adopt AI use cases with confidence, providing the needed guardrails and controls at scale.

**Learning Objectives**

• - Get an architectural overview of the Kong Konnect platform.
• - What is an AI gateway and what it can do for you.
• - Set up Konnect runtime on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
• - Configure AI Gateway to interact with Amazon Bedrock and other LLM’s
• - Use Prompt Guard to control the expressions issued to the LLM.
• - Use AI Response Transformer to examine the upstream before forwarding a request to the client.
• - Apply semantic caching to reduce your LLM cost footprint.
• - Deploy a standalone LLM on AWS and learn how to harness it with AI Gateway

**What's Needed for the workshop**

• - Wifi enabled laptop
• - Access to email account for Kong Konnect trial sign-up
• - Photo ID for access to the AWS building

**Note: **This workshop requires a trial Kong Konnect Plus subscription and an AWS account with IAM user/identity that has proper permissions to set up the necessary AWS components to work through the workshop, as well as introductory knowledge in Kubernetes. The facilitators will provide temporary AWS accounts to be used for the duration of the workshop so that attendees can get hands-on experience.
