Generative AI is reshaping the way modern organisations innovate and deliver new digital experiences. Building successful AI-powered services requires more than just access to large language models (LLMs). It demands a secure, scalable, and cost-efficient foundation that integrates seamlessly with cloud infrastructure. Kong’s AI Gateway provides the critical guardrails for enterprises to confidently adopt GenAI use cases, enabling multi-LLM support, authentication and authorization, robust security, and cost management controls.

In this hands-on AWS Immersion Day hosted by Kong, our experts will demonstrate how to rapidly build and operate AWS-based GenAI services. You’ll learn how to connect with Amazon Bedrock and other LLMs, leverage Kong plugins for safety and governance, and optimise performance to accelerate your AI journey.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain an architectural overview of Kong AI Gateway and how it extends Kong Konnect on AWS.

  • Understand how an AI Gateway simplifies integration with Amazon Bedrock and other LLMs.

  • Configure authentication, authorization, and security policies for GenAI services.

  • Use Kong plugins such as Prompt Guard, AI Response Transformer, and Semantic Caching to enforce controls and reduce cost.

  • Deploy and manage multi-LLM environments in AWS with Kong AI Gateway.

  • Sign up for a free Kong Konnect Account

  • Laptop you can connect to the AWS and Kong Konnect environments with

Attendees will be guided step-by-step through AWS and Kong Konnect setup, including walkthroughs of the Kong Konnect , and its associated AI plugins— giving you the tools to confidently deliver AI services at enterprise scale. While it’s not mandatory, some basic understanding of Kubernetes and AWS Cloudshell running commands will be helpful during the lab.
