Beyond the Wall: Breaking Barriers to Innovation and Modernization

Enterprise software companies are all dealing with some amount of legacy technology, monolithic systems, aging code bases and other constraints. This can seem like a barrier to adopting modern tooling such as API gateways or service mesh and to incorporating microservice architectures and other design paradigms.
We will take a look at RealPage’s journey to embracing some modern concepts such as microservices architecture and how we arrived at Kong as an API gateway solution. We’ll discuss how Kong has enabled us to take a pragmatic approach to this modernization and blend new development with legacy systems, as well as the next set of yet-to-be-solved challenges and how we see Kong and other tools helping that next phase of the journey.
