At API Summit 2024, Kong announced its new Premium Technology Partner Program, a move designed to enhance the Kong ecosystem by promoting high-quality, reliable integrations and plugins that deliver real business value to customers.
The objective? More top-tier integrations and plugins for customers and increased support and benefits for partners.
The Premium Technology Partner Program is tailored for integrations and plugins connected to Kong’s commercial offerings — primarily Kong Konnect and Kong Gateway Enterprise. Under the program, premium plugins will undergo rigorous validation against the latest releases and get dedicated support from Kong's engineering team.
For Kong customers, benefits include an expanded developer ecosystem, access to the latest cutting-edge technologies, more seamless integrations, high-quality support, and enhanced security.
For partners, benefits include new revenue opportunities, early access to Kong's commercial features, and direct support from Kong's Engineering team to help with optimization.
The program also includes a suggested path for Kong’s existing technology partners to level up to the premium tier, acknowledging the contributions of existing partners and encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
