In this Hands-On Workshop, we will demonstrate how AWS and Kong enable Singapore's public sector to adopt a hybrid API management model within GCC 2.0. Through Konnect, we will explore how organisations can implement federated API management, ensuring security, automation, and performance at scale across cloud and on-premise environments.

Learning objectives:
1. Get an architectural overview of the Kong Konnect platform.
2. Set up Konnect runtime on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
3. Learn what are services, routes and plugin.
4. Deploy a sample microservice and access the application using the defined route.
5. Use the platform to address the following use cases: Authentication and Authorization | Rate limiting |
6. Learn how to do observability

Insomnia 101: Introduction to API Design, Debugging, and Testing with Insomnia

Digital transformation is built on APIs. Modern organisations use APIs to modernize access to legacy systems, liberate siloed data, and break down monolithic applications into smaller, easier to manage components in order to rapidly increase their pace of innovation and deliver new digital experiences. In this hands-on workshop, we will demonstrate the ways Kong Konnect can help your organization adopt a federated API management model throughout their lifecycle and show how the API Gateway pattern can be used for modernization.
